[Local Today = Cheonan] Reporter Joo Young-wook / Saerom FS Co., Ltd. (CEO No Young-min), a local business in Cheonan, recently donated chicken worth 7 million KRW to a social welfare facility struggling due to COVID-19, spreading warmth and support.

On the morning of the 7th, Saerom FS delivered a “donation of love” in the form of chicken to Gusanwon, a residential facility for people with severe disabilities located in Buk-myeon, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, with facility director Reverend Kwon Jeong-gon in attendance.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 amid the city’s Level 2 social distancing measures, Gusanwon employees visited the Saerom FS factory to receive the donation items.

Saerom FS’s Executive Director No Young-rae commented, “Having heard that facilities on the outskirts of Cheonan are facing a halt in donations due to stricter social distancing, we prepared this small gesture to provide some help. I hope COVID-19 will end soon, allowing everyone to return to a peaceful life.”

Gusanwon director Reverend Kwon Jeong-gon expressed his gratitude, saying, “Gusanwon is operating under heavy restrictions due to the COVID-19 situation. We are thankful to Saerom FS for their continued support following last year’s donation. We hope to see more acts of kindness extended to facilities and low-income communities facing difficulties due to COVID-19.”

Gusanwon is a social welfare corporation providing residential support to people with severe disabilities. It assists them with daily living, medical support, and social and psychological support, helping them lead independent and rehabilitative lives as members of society.
